Congress welcomes Bharat Ratna for Advani, but takes dig at PM

In a succinct response, the Congress on Saturday acknowledged the Centre's decision to award the Bharat Ratna to BJP veteran LK Advani. However, it offered a somewhat backhanded compliment by describing him as a "brilliant event manager" who presented the reality of PM Modi before the nation. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said, β€œWhat has been given to Advani, its okay. We welcome it.”
