Lok Sabha polls: BJP in talks with Shiromani Akali Dal for a seat-sharing alliance

Union home minister Amit Shah stated on Saturday that the BJP is in talks with the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) to form a seat-sharing coalition for the next Lok Sabha elections. He defended the use of regional parties as allies in Lok Sabha elections. "Our ideology has been consistent from the Jan Sangh's inception and will continue to be so in the future.
