Bengaluru gets 1,450 MLD of Cauvery water daily, 300ml of every 1 litre is lost to pilferage

Efforts to curb pilferage of Cauvery water in Bengaluru continue. On average, 300ml per litre drawn is lost to unaccounted water flow. The city faces challenges due to over-dependence on Cauvery water and old infrastructure. Measures are being taken to reduce pilferage and improve water supply.
