MCC violations: EC drags it feet in some cases, acts cautiously

The Election Commission swiftly acted on complaints against Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi for violating electoral laws and model code of conduct (MCC). BJP, CPI, and CPI(ML) also filed complaints against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The poll panel sent notices to Kharge and BJP chief J P Nadda for responses.
