New government to decide on Army's integrated battle group plan

IndiaTimes Sunday, 9 June 2024
In addition to the forthcoming establishment of unified tri-service theatre commands, the new government will address the long-awaited restructuring of certain Army formations into self-contained Integrated Battle Groups (IBGs) capable of rapid mobilization and powerful strikes, according to sources. The 1.2 million-strong Army has already formed two IBGs under the 9 'Pivot' Corps (headquartered in Yol) on the western front with Pakistan as part of Phase 1 of the 'pilot project.'

Pakistan ‘Rewards’ Munir With Field Marshal Rank After Crushing Defeat Against India in OP Sindoor

Days after a ceasefire agreement with India, Pakistan’s government has promoted Army Chief General Asim Munir to the rank of Field Marshal—the second in the nation's history. The move follows Operation Sindoor and Pakistan’s war-time efforts led by Munir, who was praised for “high strategy and courage.” With this largely ceremonial yet politically powerful title, Munir further consolidates military influence over Pakistan’s civilian leadership. Backed by President Zardari and celebrated as a defender of the homeland, Munir dedicated his promotion to martyrs, veterans, and the nation. #AsimMunir #FieldMarshal #PakistanArmy #OperationSindoor #IndiaPakistan #MilitaryPromotion #PakistanPolitics #Ceasefire #MunirPromotion #MilitaryDominance #Zardari #ISPR #PakistanNews #ArmyChief #OperationBunyanumMarsoos #PakIndiaTensions #DefenseLeadership #MunirRises #Veterans #SouthAsiaPolitics #MilitaryInfluence #StrategicCommand #PMOStatement #ISIChief #PakMilitary #WarLeadership #GeoPolitics #NationalSecurity #PakistanUpdates #HafizEQuranGeneral Also Read No Air Defence Guns Deployed In Golden Temple Premises During Operation Sindoor, Says Army :: https://www.oneindia.com/india/no-air-defence-guns-deployed-in-golden-temple-premises-during-operation-sindoor-says-army-4158973.html?ref=DMDesc Khalistani Separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun Appears In Pak News Channels, Raises 'Naara-e-Takbeer' Slogan :: https://www.oneindia.com/international/khalistani-separatist-gurpatwant-singh-pannun-appears-in-pakistan-news-channels-raises-naara-e-tak-4158395.html?ref=DMDesc Ghosts of Ghazi: Why Pakistan Navy Still Can’t Sail Past 1971 :: https://www.oneindia.com/india/ghosts-of-ghazi-why-pakistan-navy-still-can-t-sail-past-1971-4157341.html?ref=DMDesc ~HT.410~ED.420~
