The Karnataka cabinet condemned Governor Thaawar Chand Gehlot's decision to grant prosecution sanction against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, calling it 'illegal and anti-constitutional'. Deputy CM DK Shivakumar asserted Siddaramaiah wouldn't resign and accused the governor of not following proper procedures. Siddaramaiah claimed the decision was made hastily compared to pending cases involving BJP figures.
