Uttarakhand rain: Over 170 roads blocked including highway to Indo-China border

Over 170 roads in Uttarakhand, including the Joshimath-Malari-Niti national highway, have been blocked due to continuous rainfall. The closures have affected defence vehicle movement and led to a one-day holiday for schools and anganwadi centres in all 13 districts. Heavy rainfall is expected to continue, particularly in the Kumaon region.
