Kerala high court raps temple in Kottayam for charging Rs 10 chandan ‘fee’

Kerala High Court criticised the Travancore Devaswom Board for charging Rs 10 from devotees for applying sacred ash at the Erumeli Ayyappa temple, questioning the necessity and ethics of this fee. The Court also raised concerns over TDB outsourcing fee collection to a private agency, cautioning against exploitation of devotees.
