Karnataka to probe Rs 7,200-cr Covid ‘scam’ focus on Yediyurappa Basavaraj Bommai

The Karnataka state cabinet decided to establish a Special Investigation Team (SIT) and a sub-committee to probe an alleged Rs 7,200-crore scam in Covid-19 medical procurement from 2019 to 2023. The interim report highlighted Rs 7,223 crore in irregularities, recommending recovery from involved companies.
