Paddy variety in focus cuts cost, pollution in Delhi-NCR

Punjab Agricultural University's short-duration paddy variety PR-126, supported by the AAP-led government, can lower farming costs and reduce air pollution by providing a longer post-harvesting window to prevent stubble burning. Despite experiencing a slightly lower yield, PR-126's benefits in conservation of resources are significant and may soon be amplified by the higher-yielding variant, Pusa-2090.
