Bengaluru trekker comes to chief election commissioner Rajiv Kumar's aid at 12k feet in Uttarakhand's sub-zero temperatures

India's chief election commissioner Rajiv Kumar and Uttarakhand's additional chief electoral officer were rescued 17 hours after their helicopter made an emergency landing in Pithoragarh due to bad weather. They spent the night in freezing conditions with minimal supplies until rescue teams arrived. Efforts were made by ITBP and locals to ensure their safe return to Dehradun.
