Why UP minister’s AQI advice changed from public transport to walking, carpool

Environment minister Arun Kumar Saxena urged NCR residents to use public transport, carpool, and walk to reduce vehicular pollution in areas with weak metro connectivity. During a meeting on worsening AQI levels, displeasure was expressed over non-compliance with vehicular fitness guidelines. Chief Secretary Singh warned of prosecution for negligent officials, promoting EVs and CNG vehicles.
