HC: Can't allow jumbo parade at private events

An amicus curiae, appointed by the Kerala High Court, has recommended prohibiting the use of elephants in private events and restricting their participation to religious festivals. The report, submitted in a case concerning the welfare of captive elephants, also suggests banning practices like head-lifting contests and barring elephants over 65 from parades.
