Jharkhand polls: Congress moves EC over BJP’s ‘false allegations’
Sunday, 10 November 2024 The Indian National Congress has lodged a complaint with the Election Commission against the Bharatiya Janata Party's official Facebook page for Jharkhand. The complaint alleges that the BJP published an advertisement featuring actors resembling leaders from the JMM, INC, and RJD, making false accusations against them.

In Solapur's Markadwadi village, NCP(SP) supporters, upset over BJP’s Ram Satpute leading locally despite Uttamrao Jankar’s overall win, planned an illegal ballot “re-election.” Authorities rightly shut it down, calling it anti-democratic. Ironically, EVMs—introduced by Congress—are now their scapegoat. Locals dismissed the rhetoric, crediting Satpute’s development work, with one saying, “He earned his votes, no tampering needed.”
