Saturday, 23 November 2024 Vote counting for the Vijaypur assembly by-election in Madhya Pradesh began on Saturday with BJP's Ramniwas Rawat facing off against Congress's Mukesh Malhotra. The by-election was called after Rawat switched from the Congress party to the BJP earlier this year. A high voter turnout of 77.85 percent was recorded in the November 13th polling.
Prashant Kishor has launched a blistering attack on Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray after his controversial “slap those who don’t speak Marathi” remark. Calling Thackeray a “lumpen element” hiding in Mumbai while targeting poor migrants, Kishor slammed both BJP and Congress for their deafening silence on the issue.
