Top Lashkar terrorist behind Gagangir, Ganderbal attacks eliminated in Kashmir
Tuesday, 3 December 2024 Jammu and Kashmir police, in a joint operation with the army, successfully eliminated Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Junaid Ahmed Bhat in Dachigam. Bhat had been involved in recent civilian killings at Gagangir and Ganderbal. The ongoing crackdown against terrorists follows several recent attacks. Earlier, Baramulla Police uncovered a terror hideout during a joint operation in the Kunzer area.
A Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist, allegedly involved in an attack near a tunnel construction site in Jammu and Kashmir's Gagangir in October this year, was killed in an encounter with security forces in the Dachigam forest area
Kashmir Terror Mastermind Suleiman Shah was formerly a Pakistan Army commando turned Lashkar-e-Taiba operative, as mentioned in media reports. He has been eliminated in a high-stakes operation led by the Indian Army, CRPF and J&K Police. The Kashmir Terror Mastermind was responsible for deadly attacks across Baramulla and Pahalgam, with a ₹20 lakh bounty on his head. Operation Mahadev neutralised the Kashmir Terror Mastermind and two other high-value foreign terrorists, delivering a significant blow to cross-border terror networks operating in South Kashmir.
