Five-time Everester Kushang Dorjee Sherpa passes away at 59 in Darjeeling

Kushang Dorjee Sherpa, a five-time Everest climber and recipient of the Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award, passed away at 59. He achieved the first Indian ascent of Everest via the challenging Khangshung Face and served as an instructor at the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute. He is survived by his wife and five children.
