Uttarakhand's higher reaches experienced their first snowfall of the season, leading to a cold wave alert for several districts. Temperatures plummeted across the state, with Dehradun recording its coldest morning at 5°C and Mukteshwar dropping below freezing to -1.85°C after receiving an inch of snow.
