CCPA issued notices to 13 firms for surrogate advertising, to notify norms to curb menace & pesky calls next month

The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has issued notices to 13 companies for surrogate advertising. Guidelines are being drafted to tackle deceptive practices and will be released next month. Additionally, guidelines to combat unsolicited commercial communications will be issued in consultation with stakeholders and harmonized with new telecom regulations.
