Explain presence of mobile, ganja in Tamil Nadu jails, Madras high court tells government

Chennai's Madras High Court has demanded explanations from prison authorities on how inmates accessed mobile phones and ganja despite strict security. This follows accusations that prisoners were beaten by officers after being found with a mobile phone. The court has ordered a medical examination for the prisoners and a detailed hearing scheduled for January 21.
