BMC budget: BEST gets Rs 1,250 crore for new buses, push for growth
Tuesday, 4 February 2025 BEST will get Rs 1,250 crore financial aid for 2025-26, including Rs 1,000 crore from BMC and Rs 250 crore from the 15th Finance Commission for electric buses. However, BEST faces a deficit of Rs 2,132 crore for the next year and has requested Rs 2,812 crore from BMC to cover expenses and acquire new buses.
