Delhi assembly election: Meet Balyogi Baba Balaknath who outperformed Congress in Mehrauli

In Mehrauli, BJP's Gajender Singh Yadav won with 45,000 votes, while independent candidate Balyogi Baba Balaknath surprisingly outperformed Congress's Pushpa Singh by securing 9,667 votes. AAP's Mahender Chaudhary was a close runner-up with 45,627 votes. Balaknath, a 34-year-old priest with declared assets worth Rs 39.1 lakh, contested independently and has no criminal record.
