Court raps cops for 26-year delay in chargesheet

A court in Bulandshahr, UP has reprimanded police for failing to file a chargesheet in a 26-year-old murder case despite having sufficient evidence and arresting the accused. The lapse, discovered during a separate arms Act case hearing, allowed the accused to live freely for decades. An inquiry has been ordered into the negligence.
