'God will forgive if it serves public': Madras HC allows acquisition of two temple lands

Madras High Court ruled that temple land could be acquired for the Chennai Metro Rail project if it benefits devotees, rejecting a PIL against the acquisition. The court also criticized CMRL’s plan to take over United India Insurance's land, noting it violated natural justice principles since the company was not properly informed.
