Manipur talks stuck as Kukis insist on ‘separate hill state’

Following the return of a killed youth's body to his family in Manipur's Kangpokpi, authorities anticipate an end to protests and blockades in the district. However, tensions persist as the Kuki-Zo community demands a separate hill state, conflicting with the Constitutional framework. Efforts are ongoing to engage with both Meitei and Kuki-Zo communities for a resolution within Constitutional bounds.
