Transwoman first from community to clear national bar exam in Karnataka

Shashi C from Mysuru becomes the first transwoman lawyer in Karnataka to clear the All India Bar Examination, allowing her to practice independently. An alumnus of Vidyavardhaka Law College, she aspires to become a judge and is preparing for the examination. Passing the bar examination is mandatory since 2009 to practice as an advocate.
