Mumbai techie seeks help from astrology app to mend life, loses over Rs 12 lakh
Tuesday, 25 March 2025 A Mumbai techie fell victim to a well-planned scam involving a fake spiritual guide and app, DevineTalk. Convinced to perform cleansing rituals, he was extorted out of Rs 12.20 lakh. The fraudsters escalated psychological pressure, leading him to max out his credit cards and borrow money. He reported the scam to cyber police after realizing the deceit.
Civilians defence drills were carried out in several cities across India as tensions remain high with Pakistan. Sirens were sounded and blackouts observed in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Surat, Chandigarh, Shimla and others in a bid to prepare civilians for any possible threats in case a war breaks-out between India and Pakistan.
