After 19 years, SC clears way for govt jobs for Uttarakhand villagers who lost land for airport

After a 19-year legal battle, over 600 villagers in Pithoragarh, who lost their land for the Naini-Saini airport construction in 1992, have won the right to government jobs. The Supreme Court dismissed the Uttarakhand government's plea, upholding a previous high court order that mandated the promised employment from 2006.
