Anti-Waqf protests in Bengal: Plea in SC seeks SIT probe into Murshidabad violence

A plea has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking a court-monitored SIT investigation into the Murshidabad violence during anti-Waqf law protests. The petition also seeks protection for vulnerable lives and properties. Following the violence, the Calcutta High Court ordered CAPF deployment. Authorities are working to restore peace, with some families returning home.
