‘Used to carry lights at weddings for Rs 250’: UP teen first to clear Class 10 exam in his village since Independence

In a Barabanki village, Ramkeval, a 15-year-old from the Dalit community, has become the first person to pass the class 10 board exams. He supported his family by carrying lights in wedding processions. District Magistrate Shashank Tripathi honored Ramkeval and his parents, assuring support for his future studies.
