India's Gaganyaan mission, aiming to send humans into space, is now slated for the first quarter of 2027, announced by space minister Jitendra Singh. Following successful test missions, including TV-D1, the program involves multiple institutions and the armed forces. The budget has increased to Rs 20,193 crore to accommodate eight missions, including uncrewed flights with the robot Vyommitra.
