Ashoka University professor in lockup, colleagues keep vigil at police station in shifts

Ali Khan Mahmudabad, a professor at Ashoka University, was arrested following a complaint. The complaint was filed by Haryana State Women's Commission chairperson Renu Bhatia. It alleges his comments on Operation Sindoor endangered India's sovereignty. Colleagues are providing support to Mahmudabad. They are ensuring his well-being while he is in custody. The faculty association has condemned the arrest.
