EC banks on tech for faster turnout updates

The Election Commission of India is set to introduce a technology-driven system to expedite voter turnout updates, addressing concerns raised about delays in the past. Replacing manual reporting, presiding officers will now use the ECINET app to directly enter voter turnout figures every two hours and immediately after polls close.
