‘Chose Eid to settle the score’: 40-year-old slits teen’s throat in Roorkee, blames him for son’s death in canal last year

Eid celebrations turned tragic in Roorkee's Manglaur area as a 17-year-old boy was murdered by a neighbor. Police report the 40-year-old accused, Riyasat Ahmed, slit Sahil Ahmed Malik's throat, claiming it was revenge for his own son's death last year. Riyasat believed Sahil intentionally caused his son to drown in the Gangnahar canal on Eid.
