Gujarat plans memorial at Air India plane crash site; damaged hostel, mess buildings to be demolished, built at alternative site
Thursday, 19 June 2025 () Gujarat government decided to build a memorial at the Air India crash site. The crash killed 241 of 242 on board and others on the ground. The plane crashed into BJ Medical College. Damaged buildings will be demolished and rebuilt elsewhere. The memorial will allow people to pay respects. Investigation teams are currently gathering evidence from the crash site.
