Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu signaled a break from U.S. President Donald Trump, declaring Israel is ready to destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities—alone if necessary. As war enters its second week, Netanyahu asserted Israel doesn't need U.S. approval to strike sites like Fordow. Trump remains undecided on a U.S. military response, sending mixed messages with threats and calls for diplomacy. Several dozen people gathered at the Place du Panthéon in Paris on Thursday against the conflict between Israel and Iran, prompted by a call from several Iranian human rights associations. Participants, mostly Franco-Iranian, called for an "immediate ceasefire" and for the protection of civilians. "It's terrifying, not only for the Iranians and the Israelis, it's terrifying for all the civilians in the region," says Darya Djavahery Farsi, a French-Iranian student attending the protest.
