Air India crash: Ahmedabad corporation to trim 1,013 trees; safety audit flags flight path obstructions

Following the Air India flight 171 crash, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) will trim 1,013 trees near Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport to improve safety within take-off and landing corridors. This action follows an AAI request and is part of broader safety measures, including building height surveys around the airport perimeter, to adhere to DGCA guidelines and prevent future incidents.
