In a move to inspire students, the NCERT syllabus will now include chapters on Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, Brigadier Mohammad Usman, and Major Somnath Sharma. These additions, across Urdu and English textbooks for classes VII and VIII, aim to instill values of courage and duty.
