Biggest expansion: 14km of new metro tracks, a giant leap for Kolkata

Kolkata's metro network is set for a major expansion with PM Modi inaugurating 14km of new tracks. The East-West Metro, featuring India's first under-river tunnel, will connect Howrah and Sealdah in just 11 minutes. The Yellow Line's first phase will link Noapara to the airport, while the Orange Line extends to Beleghata.
