North Indian diet lacks in adequate nutrition: Study

Prof. Vivekanand Jha, Executive Director of George Institute for Global Health India, leads a study revealing higher salt and phosphorus intake, lower protein and potassium intake in northern states of India. The findings are published in Frontiers in Nutrition. For the study a total of 400 adults were observed; this included both the healthy and those with early-stage chronic kidney disease (CKD).
