Kalpana Chawla's birth anniversary: Nation pays tribute to the first woman of Indian origin in space

She had a distinguished education and career in aerospace engineering, holding degrees from Punjab Engineering College, University of Texas, and University of Colorado. Kalpana logged 30 days in space, participating in crucial missions for NASA, including STS-87 and STS-107.
