Driver charged with grievous bodily harm after ploughing into Liverpool football fans
The city had been celebrating Liverpool's record-tying 20th Premier League title when the driver turned down a street full of fans and joy quickly turned to tragedy.

A 53-year-old man, Paul Doyle, has been charged after a car ploughed into a crowd at the end of Liverpool football club’s Premier League victory parade on Monday evening. Deputy chief constable of Merseyside Police, Jenny Sims, said, "Doyle has been remanded into custody and he will appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court in the morning”.

Eyewitnesses express their dismay after a car ploughed into a crowd of fans at the Liverpool FC’s Premier League victory parade on Monday evening. One eyewitness says, “it just brought the whole day down”. A 53-year-old man thought to be the driver, is currently in police custody.
