WHO recommends malaria vaccine roll out in some African countries

The World Health Organization (WHO) has recommended the use of a second malaria vaccine, called R21/Matrix-M, to combat the spread of the disease. The vaccine, developed by the University of Oxford, will be rolled out in African countries in early 2024. It is currently undergoing review for prequalification by the WHO.
