UK special forces 'killed 9 people in their beds' in Afghanistan

IndiaTimes Monday, 9 October 2023
An independent inquiry has found that UK special forces killed nine people in their beds during a night raid in Afghanistan in 2011. The raid took place in the Nad Ali region of Helmand, and the victims were unarmed citizens who were sleeping in a single-roomed outbuilding. The SAS claimed they acted in self-defense after being fired upon, but the inquiry suggests that there was a practice of killing males of fighting age even if they did not pose a threat.
