Armenian president approves parliament's decision to join the International Criminal Court

IndiaTimes Saturday, 14 October 2023
Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan has approved the parliament's decision to join the International Criminal Court (ICC), despite strains in the country's relationship with Russia. The move comes after Armenia's parliament ratified the Rome Statute, which created the ICC. This means that if Russian President Vladimir Putin, who has been indicted for war crimes, sets foot on Armenian soil, he could be arrested.
