Sidney Powell pleads guilty in deal with prosecutors over efforts to overturn Trump loss in Georgia
Thursday, 19 October 2023 Lawyer Sidney Powell has pleaded guilty to reduced charges in relation to her efforts to overturn the 2020 election results in Georgia. She is the second defendant in the case to reach a deal with prosecutors. Powell will serve six years of probation, pay restitution, and testify against her co-defendants. She was initially charged with racketeering and other counts for her involvement in a scheme to keep Donald Trump in power.
