Russia charges Ukrainian war veteran mistakenly honoured by Canada with genocide

IndiaTimes Friday, 20 October 2023
Russian investigators have charged 98-year-old Ukrainian war veteran Yaroslav Hunka with genocide for serving in a German Nazi division during World War Two. The Russian Investigative Committee claims to have evidence of Hunka's involvement in war crimes, including the slaughter of at least 500 people.
