Three people dead, several missing after heavy rains, flooding in Tuscany

IndiaTimes Friday, 3 November 2023
Heavy rains in central Italy caused rivers to overflow, resulting in at least three deaths and several missing people. The storm, named Ciaran, has been causing havoc across western Europe, with a bridge collapsing near Pistoia and another person dying in Rosignano. The governor of Tuscany expressed concerns about the situation around two large rivers in the area. Patients from three hospitals had to be relocated and many buildings were damaged. The Italian defense ministry is providing support for rescue efforts.
