Monday, 27 November 2023 The Cop28 conference, also known as the UN climate summit, brings together countries to negotiate climate agreements. The United States comes to Cop28 with the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), a subsidy package for green products that aims to triple the country's clean energy capacity by 2030. The US and European Union are urging other countries to join a pledge to triple renewable capacity. The conference will address various blocs and alliances, including the Basic countries.
