Egypt says agreement is close on two-day extension to Israel-Hamas truce

IndiaTimes Monday, 27 November 2023
Egypt and Qatar are close to extending the truce between Israel and Hamas in Gaza by two days. The extension will include the release of 20 Israeli hostages seized by Hamas, and 60 Palestinian prisoners held by Israel will be freed. Negotiations are ongoing for the release of 33 Palestinians. The European Union's foreign policy chief believes an extension is within reach, allowing the international community to work on a political solution.
